Climate crisis activists occupy Gordon Ramsay’s three-star Michelin restaurant
14 climate crisis activist occupied Gordon Ramsay's, 3-star Michelin restaurant in London on Saturday evening. They occupied the tables, holding menu in their hands, without ordering anything. They claimed, that it is inequitable, that restaurants serve meals which minimal price is £150, while over 2 milion people in britain are relying on food banks. They are also campaining for a plant-based food system, which is more ecological, less space-demanding, and would allow to feed millions of additional people. After two hours, restaurant closed, because service was disrupted, and protesters peacefully left. Restaurants's spokeperson said, that although he respects their opinions, their behaviour was very inappropriate and disrespectful, because they made stuff's work harder and ruined evenings of people who have waited months for their reservation.
I think, that although their claims are mostly right, paralising people's work and wasting time of people, who had a reservation is inapropriate, and actions like this or pouring can of tomato sauce on Van Gogh's paiting, really show's climate activists community in a bad light.

What suggestions do you have for climate activists? For decades politicians have quietly ignored warnings about climate warming and people did nothing to stop it. And now it's probably too late anyway to reverse the trend. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
